For new donors, a significant first impression / stereotype problem for the average Christian school is that “private schools are for lily white rich kids.” That’s why raising money for needs-based financial aid is such an effective cause concept – we are raising money to move poor and/or minority kids to higher SES levels and better lives. (Not to mention all the faith dimensions and their internal dimensions.)
