The Private Christian School Advantage

Private schools – of which 80% are religious – do have a clear college advantage. According to The National Center of Education Statistics (NCES) in a study of students’ test scores of The National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP) testing of grades 4, 8, and 12 from 2000-2005 found: In private schools overall, in every case but one, students from each racial/ethnic category [White, black, Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islander] had higher average scores than their counterparts in public schools….
